Anderson Lloyd llp
Independent financial brokers Anderson Lloyd are a business that helps you plan for the future and make the most of your money. They specialise in mortgages, savings, insurance and protection, and pensions.
Channel were commissioned to build a new content managed website in partnership with Ceri Pashley who had created the original logo and company branding.
One of the challenges that Anderson Lloyd had that affects their industry as a whole is compliance with the FSA's many stringent regulations. Working closely with the team at Anderson Lloyd, we ensured that full compliancy was achieved.
The website was built in Joomla with a clean and easy to navigate style.
A number of components were used including:
- Email marketing: an inbuilt email component from Acymailing is being used to help communicate seamlessly with their customers.
- Document downloads: the Phoca Download component provides a system for the team to upload PDFs onto the website, which their customers can then download easily.
- Latest news: This component is ideal for uploading fresh content and interesting articles, which the search engines just love.
- Contact and calls to action: QContacts is used to provide a variety of ways for a customer to request a call or ask a question. These calls to action are placed strategically around the site. They are easy to find but subtle enough that they complement the overall brand.
- Security: As with all our open source content managed websites, we have a security firewall in place, keeping the website safe and secure from any exploitation.
- Search Engine Friendly (SEF) URLs: Having an easy way to control and update the URLs in the website is done by one of our favourite components – SH404SEF. The team building this component keep adding some exciting new features that we get to utilise with every update. Shortened URLs, Project Honey Pot to block known spammers, Google Analytics within your website are just a few of them.
- Sitemap: No website should be without a sitemap that updates automatically when content is added. On this website we use a sitemap component powered by Xmap.
- Homepage slideshow: This simple yet striking slideshow is powered by Yoo Carousel. Presently this is displayed at the top level of the website structure, but if Anderson Lloyd wanted it displayed elsewhere this could be done literally at the click of a button!
