Approach to Development
There are a variety of ways in which you can approach an IT or web development project. There isn't always a right or wrong answer - often it is about working with you to select the approach which will bring you the best results. To summarise our approach:
- If there is a pre-existing data integration or solution we would consider that first, as it should allow you the greatest range of functionality at an off-the-shelf price. Sometimes you can purchase and implement an existing solution very quickly and cost effectively.
- Should the ideal off-the-shelf solutions not exist you have other options. Where a similar solution exists in OpenSource we may be able to modify and adapt, retaining some of the advantages of the existing code base, but adding in the exact features that you require.
- The next option is custom development. We are happy to specify and build a full bespoke solution if that is the best way for you, and we have significant long standing expertise in this area.
- In some cases a third party developer has a skill-set or product-set that will be better suited to your requirement. In that event we can assist with requirement analysis, vendor selection, client side project management, and help you manage the solution through to completion. Again our approach is flexible, we aim to fit in with your existing skill-set and the vendors available, to help you come up with the correct overall solution.
